STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK

In Autumn 2011 planning specialists, Barton Wilmore, developed a new Strategic Development Framework (SDF) for the St Leonards area of mixed use, as identified within the finalised St Andrews and East Fife local plan. It was subject to a six week public consultation and then Fife Council then adopted this as supplementary planning guidance in November 2011.

The purpose of the SDF is to work like a masterplan and ensure that any future development on the site is in keeping with the design principles of the surrounding area, and best fits in with the rest of the town.
